Introduction:

This document outlines the terms and conditions that govern the use of the Font Making Course, an online educational platform owned and operated by Type Design Class. These terms and conditions apply to all users, including but not limited to, students, instructors, and any other third-party users who access the platform. By accessing or using the Font Making Course, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions and any additional terms that may apply to specific courses or features of the platform. If you do not agree to these terms and conditions, please do not use the Font Making Course.

Definitions:

‘Online Course’ refers to the Font Making Course, an online educational platform operated by Type Design Class.
‘User’ refers to any person who accesses or uses the Font Making Course, including but not limited to, students, instructors, and any other third-party users.
‘Student’ refers to any User who enrolls in a course offered through the Font Making Course.
‘Instructor’ refers to any User who creates and teaches a course offered through the Font Making Course.
‘Content’ refers to any information, data, text, graphics, images, audio, video, or other material available through the Font Making Course.
‘Course Materials’ refers to any Content, including but not limited to, lessons, quizzes, assignments, and other materials, that are made available to Students as part of a course.

Use of Online Course:

Access to the Font Making Course and its Content is provided on a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable basis. Type Design Class reserves the right to modify, discontinue, or restrict access to the Font Making Course or any portion thereof, at any time and without prior notice.
You are responsible for obtaining and maintaining all equipment, software, and internet access necessary to use the Font Making Course.
You may not use the Font Making Course for any illegal or unauthorized purpose. You agree to comply with all applicable laws and regulations.
You may not distribute, sell, license, or otherwise make available the Font Making Course or its Content to any third party without the prior written consent of Type Design Class.
You may not use the Font Making Course in any manner that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair the platform or interfere with any other party’s use and enjoyment of the Font Making Course.

Content:

Type Design Class does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of any Content available through the Font Making Course.
Type Design Class is not responsible for any errors or omissions in the Content or for any loss or damage of any kind incurred as a result of the use of any Content available through the Font Making Course.
The Content available through the Font Making Course is provided for informational purposes only and is not intended to replace or substitute for professional advice.

Courses:

Courses offered through the Font Making Course may vary in length, format, and subject matter.
Enrollment in a course through the Font Making Course does not imply any guarantee of a particular outcome, including but not limited to, job placement or salary increase.
Any specific course will continue to be offered through the Font Making Course. Type Design Class reserves the right to modify, discontinue, or restrict access to any course, at any time and without prior notice.
Students are responsible for regularly checking their course progress and completing assignments on time. Type Design Class is not responsible for any missed deadlines or lost work due to a Student’s failure to regularly check their course progress.
Type Design Class does not provide academic credit or certification for any course offered through the Font Making Course.

Community Forum Access:

As a registered student of the Font Making Course, you will have access to a community forum for a period of six (6) months from the date of purchase.
The community forum is designed to provide a platform for you to ask questions and receive clarification on the content covered in the Font Making Course.
Questions that are outside the scope of the course content or that are deemed inappropriate by Type Design Class will not be answered.
Type Design Class reserves the right to remove any content that is not in compliance with these terms and conditions, or that is deemed inappropriate, at its sole discretion.
Access to the community forum is provided as a convenience to registered students and Type Design Class makes no guarantees regarding response time or the availability of the forum.

Promotional Use:

By participating in the community forum, you agree that Type Design Class may use any comments, profile picture, shared documents, or other content you post in the community forum for promotional purposes.
This may include, but is not limited to, showcasing comments or profile pictures in marketing materials, on Type Design Class' website, or in social media.
You grant Type Design Class a perpetual, non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, display, publish, and distribute any content you post in the community forum for promotional purposes.
You represent and warrant that you have the right to grant Type Design Class this license and that the use of your content for promotional purposes will not infringe or violate the rights of any third party.

Instructors:

Type Design Class does not pre-screen or endorse any Instructor or the Content of any course offered through the Font Making Course.
Instructors are responsible for creating, uploading, and maintaining the Content for their courses. Type Design Class is not responsible for the Content or accuracy of any course offered through the Font Making Course.
Instructors agree to indemnify and hold harmless Type Design Class from and against any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from or related to the Content of their courses or the use of the Font Making Course by their Students.

Intellectual Property:

Type Design Class owns or has the right to use all intellectual property rights in and to the Font Making Course and its Content, including but not limited to, trademarks, trade names, logos, copyrights, patents, and trade secrets.
You may not use the Font Making Course or its Content in any manner that infringes on Type Design Class’s intellectual property rights.
Any use of the Font Making Course or its Content not specifically permitted by these terms and conditions is strictly prohibited.

Disclaimer of Warranties:

The Font Making Course and its Content are provided ‘as is’ and ‘as available’ without warranty of any kind, either express or implied.
Type Design Class specifically disclaims any and all warranties, including but not limited to, warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
Type Design Class does not make any warranty that the Font Making Course will meet your requirements, be available on an uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free basis, or that the results obtained from the use of the Font Making Course will be accurate or reliable.

Limitation of Liability:

Type Design Class shall not be liable for any damages, including but not limited to, direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, arising out of the use or inability to use the Font Making Course or its Content, even if Type Design Class has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
Type Design Class shall not be liable for any loss or damage of any kind incurred as a result of the use of any Content available through the Font Making Course .

Refunds and Return Policy

We are committed to ensuring your satisfaction with our Font Making Course. If, after diligent effort and completion of all course materials, exercises, and steps in Glyphs, you find that you haven't acquired new skills as promised, we offer a 100% refund of your investment.

To qualify for a refund:

You must demonstrate your commitment by completing all course requirements within the specified timeframe.
You must reach out to us within 14 days of purchase to initiate the refund process.
Provide evidence of your completion of the course materials, exercises, and steps in Glyphs.

Upon meeting these conditions, we will promptly process your refund for the full amount of your investment.

Before purchasing access to a course, please carefully review the course description, instructor information, and preview material to ensure that the course meets your needs and expectations.
If you experience technical difficulties with the Font Making Course, please contact Type Design Class for assistance. Type Design Class will make reasonable efforts to resolve any technical issues in a timely manner.

Indemnification:

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Type Design Class from and against any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from or related to your use of the Font Making Course.

Governing Law:

These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Netherlands, without giving effect to any principles of conflicts of law.
Any dispute arising out of or relating to these terms and conditions, the Font Making Course, or its Content shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of The Netherlands and you agree to submit to the personal jurisdiction of such courts.

Entire Agreement:

These terms and conditions constitute the entire agreement between you and Type Design Class with respect to the Font Making Course and its Content and supersedes all prior understandings, whether written or oral, relating to the same.
If any provision of these terms and conditions is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

Changes to these Terms and Conditions:

Type Design Class reserves the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time, and without prior notice.
Your continued use of the Font Making Course following the posting of any changes to these terms and conditions constitutes acceptance of those changes.
